What does it mean to connect with nature today? Artist Gohar Sargsyan poses this question in her recent series called “Land-Escape” a countable collection of paintings that evoke places in Armenia, where land resources have been continuously used by humanity. This series explore a land without humanity present on them, yet carrying the human footprints on nature.  While focusing merely on the landscape itself, Gohar has produced a terminal of escaping from the decades of urbanization through an impulsive tempo that mimics the pace of the land. Here, the audience is invited to adjust senses to dwell into the lands to rethink our relationship with nature.
